How the Schusterhäusl got its name

Once upon a time , well over 400 years ago , the shoemaker of Flachau , built his own Häusl of wood. Stone was to expensive, only the large farmers could afford it. The new house from the shoemaker had everything he needed: home - office was usual for the former craftsmen. Upstairs they lived and worked Downstairs. The name of the cobbler has been forgotten, but his Schusterhäusl is still there today. And it has been done a lot. From the property and work of time a steak house with rustic, cozy parlors has become .

Here things are just different.

This is why the menu at the Schusterhäusl focuses on steaks and Mediterranean delicacies. Everything is freshly prepared. The herbs are added just before serving and spread a wonderfully fresh scent, which activates the senses. All in all a fine selection and just right for people like you.
